.38 Super. 5" barrel length. SN: 25159. (Mfg. ca 1937) Blued metal finish overall with jeweled chamber mounting ivory grips with carved floral embellishments. Short-recoil operated single action autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines. Right slide is struck SUPER MATCH/COLT SUPER .38/AUTOMATIC followed by {Rampant Colt} logo with the left slide marked in two lines COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A./PAT'D APR. 20, 1897. SEPT. 9, 1902. DEC. 19, 1905. FEB. 14, 1911. AUG. 19, 1913. Frame is unmarked except for serial number. Serial numbers match on frame and on rear slide below firing pin retaining plate. Barrel shows jeweling to the polished chamber and retains a bright muzzle. Left side of barrel struck COLT SUPER 38 AUTO MATCH with the left lug marked with the additional correct circled MB marking. Sights are a drift adjustable military pattern rear notch and fixed front blade. Item mounts a King's gun works number 307 pattern buffered recoil spring guide.
